The MVA Fund Ablusion Initiative

The Motor Vehicle Accident  Fund has funded the project where toilet units have been contructed for 14 people living with disabilities in the 7de Laan informal settelement in Windhoek.

"MVA Fund chief executive officer Rosalia Martins-Hausiku said during the handing over that this was the fund's way of diverting its assistance from only focusing on road accident victims to people living with disabilities.

Windhoek Mayor Muesee Kazapua said the provision of ablusion facilitites and proper sewers was one of the main challenges that regional and local authorities faced. He thus urged other institutions to assist the City of Windhoek in providing these basic services to residents as part of their contribution to the success of the Harambee Prosperity Plan." - Nampa
